Duties:
Supervise and train senior accountants and staff, to include but not limited to the following:
- Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance professional development
- Monitor and ensure a positive, high accountability culture
- Assist with time management to ensure that all deadlines are met
- Handle personnel and performance issues related to direct reports
Serve multiple clients as Accounting Manager, to include but not limited to the following:
- Review, analyze, and present monthly financial statements
- Oversee month‐end closing process
- Analyze key metrics and benchmarks tailored to client specific needs
- Manage financial reporting accuracy utilizing available tools to ensure efficient client workflow and on‐time processing of client information
- Oversee external client relationships such as payroll, benefits, banking, insurance and human resources
- Advise on cash flow management
- Oversee annual budgeting and forecasting
- Document and monitor accounting policies, procedures and internal controls specific to client relationship
- Coordination of audits, reviews, taxes, and/or compilations as require
- Maintain ongoing relationship with client
- Provide oversight on miscellaneous projects as they arise
- Should enjoy working with, meeting, and talking to clients on a regular basis
- Participate in ongoing educational opportunities to remain current on accounting standards
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in accounting
- 5 years of public accounting or relevant industry experience
- Working knowledge of financial statements
- Experience with Excel, Word, etc.
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and proactive communication skills
