“Day in the Life”
- One-on-one training and mentoring with established sales team on latest market products
- Coordinate new business opportunities with application engineering, marketing, and regional management of multiple electrical and electromechanical manufacturers.
- Act as the main point of contact to key relationships at accounts.
- Service existing long term account base while seeking out and nurturing new emerging accounts
- Participate as part of the local Minnesota regional team while also growing presence in Midwest region and other mid-Central offices.
Your Sales Strategy:
- Identify new business opportunities and create strategies throughout the sales cycle to close on opportunities.
- Present products to the engineering community of the customer base and support design efforts.
- Develop specific sales strategies to capitalize on emerging territorial opportunities.
- Meet regularly with customers to understand current product needs and proactively bring in manufacturer resources (sales/engineering/marketing etc.) as needed.
- Collaborate with internal resources for alignment on the strategy and company objectives.
- Effectively coordinate with distribution partners on key accounts.
- Participate in Forecasting and monthly reports on internal and supplier tracking systems to track KPI’s and performance metrics
Education and Experience of Most Successful Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business or equivalent
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and healthy competitive spirit
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Demonstrable interest and aptitude to master highly technical products
- Strong professional emotional intelligence with ability to work effectively both as member of a goal-sharing team and as an individual contributor.
- Any experience in electrical, electromechanical, mechanical, or electronic product lines
Travel:
- Occasional travel within the Midwest region to meet key accounts, attend industry events, and participate in trade shows
- Limited out-of-state travel possible for supplier meetings/trainings and corporate events
