JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This role is responsible for processing and completing initial certifications and annual recertifications for the Seattle Office of Housing (SOH) affordable programs within a Centralized group of communities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Reviews, monitors, and ensures property compliance with all Affordable Housing Programs reporting and regulations. Works closely with Community Managers and Assistant Community Managers in the preparation and distribution of compliance reports to the Seattle Office of Housing (SOH).
  • Prepares and manages applicant/resident correspondence and documentation, generates and provides recertification notices for posting to onsite team members, identifies and resolves eligibility discrepancies, and maintains resident files and records.
  • Conducts property file audits and reviews property procedures surrounding local housing programs. Identifies audit findings, corrects any non-compliance, and communicates those findings and resolutions to Regional Property Managers and Community Managers.
  • Reviews Centralized affordable reporting for accuracy and communicates updates needed to affordable team members.
  • Monitors income limits, rent limits, and utility estimates. Completes and processes income/asset verifications and household certifications. Assists with certification appeals and escalates/manages appeals with the local agencies.
  • Reviews and monitors changes in program guidelines, procedures, and policies of local agencies, e.g. Seattle Office of Housing (SOH). Disseminates this information to onsite team members and affordable team members.
  • Coordinates and communicates with the Seattle Office of Housing (SOH).
  • As needed, in the development of new business, will provide input on local requirements for RFP’s regarding properties with Affordable Housing Programs and/or other local agency regulation components.

The hourly range for this position is $31.00 - $35.00.

Additional Compensation:

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

  • Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

  • Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
