Our fast-growing company is seeking a Leasing Consultant to join our team. This position is responsible for leasing apartments, renewing leases, and the effective fulfillment of all related administrative functions and for efficiently serving our customers, residents, and clients.
The ideal candidate for this position will think like an owner and assume personal accountability for his/her actions, behaviors, and results. This candidate must be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment and possess the below qualities that are embedded within our shape and culture. The purpose of this position is to help achieve the objective of always maintaining budgeted occupancy.
Qualifications and/ or Experience:
- Minimum two years of progressively responsible sales related experience.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Word, Excel, and Computer Experience Preferred
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to meet the public with courtesy, tact and poise.
- Knowledge of Equal Housing Opportunity (EHO) requirements and applicable program regulations
- Performs all functions related to residency inquiries including telephone an in-person inquiries and maintaining records of the inquiries and conducts apartment and general property tours.
- Takes applications and deposits while verifying information, and follow-up of all future residents, provides and explains written material and applications to prospective residents.
- Screens, interviews, and notifies applicants of their acceptance or denial as residents in accordance with company procedures, LIHTC guidelines, Equal Housing Opportunity (EHO) requirements and any applicable program regulations.
- Process renewal paperwork according to the LIHTC guidelines given by the Director of Compliance.
- Conducts market surveys and makes marketing recommendations based on an analysis of the surveys.
- Conducts weekly outreach to vendors.
- Edit other paid and free online advertising as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
