What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st shift Racker position at Greystone?
Summary:
Assigned to a specific position on the plating line, but will be expected to learn additional racking skills so as assist other Rackers on 1st shift. Production is quota driven with the expectation that yields will be maintained at established levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Immerse workpieces in coating solutions for specified times.
- Remove objects from solutions at periodic intervals and observe objects to verify conformance to specifications.
- Loading and unloading parts for plating
- Position and feed materials into processing machines, by hand or by using automated equipment.
- Clean, maintain equipment and work area.
- Maintain production records.
- Observe gauges to ensure that equipment is operating properly, notify maintenance when problems occur.
Education / Experience / Training:
- High school diploma, trade or technical school certification or equivalent.
- 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Strong familiarity with basic hand tools (wrenches, screw drivers, drills, saws etc)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Team Player
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
