We are seeking an Associate for our Multifamily Bridge Sales Desk in our New York City office. This position provides analytical, organizational, and strategic support to the team that analyzes, sizes, quotes and issues applications for MF bridge and mezzanine loans. The bridge lending platform has current assets in excess of $4 billion, which are underwritten with a view towards refinancing with a Greystone FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac or CMBS loan.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete and review analysis of proposed transactions by analyzing and assessing factors such as market dynamics, financial performance, loan economics, physical conditions, sponsor creditworthiness, and exit considerations.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with a transaction and provide ideas for solutions and risk mitigants
- Independently drive deal screening and due diligence tasks in preparing loan models, quotes, and transaction summaries
- Track and report on timing and stages of each transaction
- Regular communication with internal and external clients related to current loan pipeline and activity
- Interact effectively with investors, borrowers, attorneys and other third parties as applicable
- Ability to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a team player
- Handle or proactively cover special projects and other duties as needed or assigned
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Interact positively with team members, colleagues, and senior executives
Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of commercial real estate finance related experience
- Advanced MS Office with expert Excel skills required
- Multifamily analytic/underwriting experience required
- Limited travel may be required
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Highly organized and capable of prioritizing and executing multiple assignments at the same time
- Detail oriented and works well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Combines a customer-focused origination mentality with strong credit underwriting skills
- Driven, innovative team-player who is focused on results and strives to deliver a superior work product

Greystone offers a competitive base salary and bonus. The base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000/year. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the annual review process.
