Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. This position is a 1099 subcontractor position, meaning the cleaner will bring their own supplies to the job for completion and payout.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various environments, ensuring that all areas are hygienic and well-presented. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Cleaner will play a crucial role in creating a safe and pleasant atmosphere for both employees and customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform industrial cleaning tasks in commercial and residential settings, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained.
- Execute floor care duties, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing surfaces to enhance appearance and safety.
- Conduct custodial responsibilities such as dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms and common areas.
- Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or needed repairs to management promptly.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored properly and replenished as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning assignments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide porter services when required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment during events or transitions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
- A commitment to safety practices while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment is essential.
