RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct day to day manufacturing to achieve established production goals.
- Lead an operations team of 120 employees to continuously improve operating efficiencies.
- Lead operator training and compliance program.
- Lead safety initiatives to achieve established goals.
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager, Second Operations Manager and Quality Manager to maximize plant safety, quality, efficiency and profitability.
Quality
- Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with company quality policy and other plant quality certifications.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Work independently to supervise and direct associates in assigned team.
- Conduct daily meetings with team to review goals and shift change instructions.
- Work independently to meet delivery schedules; seeks help when additional resources are required.
- Develop key interdepartmental relationships with engineering, quality assurance, sales and customers to effectively expedite orders to satisfy the company’s commitment to 100% customer satisfaction.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and complete within required timelines.
- Read, understand, and develop operational reports, schedules, and other reports.
- Additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, mechanical preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years’ leadership experience in manufacturing.
- Experience in automotive Industry and quality systems experience preferred.
- Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
- Strong problem- solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
