Greystones is seeking a Policy Specialist to support the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), developing data analytic, cybersecurity, and IT capabilities. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the development, management, and implementation of assigned policy-related projects. The individual will manage projects from concept through to final implementation, ensuring all objectives are met efficiently. Serving as the primary point of contact for these projects, the Policy Specialist will collaborate with multiple internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects while meeting defined goals. The position requires expertise in project planning, execution, and analysis, as well as the ability to manage complex issues that arise throughout the project lifecycle.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full life cycle of assigned policy projects, ensuring that they are completed within scope, time and budget constraints.
- Develop detailed project work plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans to ensure efficient and timely execution of tasks.
- Provide project estimates and budget forecasts, and track project progress against established timelines, adjusting as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Manage the integration of vendor tasks and ensure that vendor deliverables meet the project requirements and deadlines.
- Prepare regular status reports, updates, and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders, providing a clear view of project progress and any issues that may arise.
- Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate performance, identify lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future projects.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related experience.
- This position requires candidates to obtain a Federal Public Trust Clearance. Being a US Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident is required when obtaining a Federal Public Trust Clearance.
- Proven ability to manage projects from concept to execution, particularly those related to policy or organizational change.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and external vendors is highly preferred.
- Experience in policy analysis, public administration or withing with government entities.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and public sector compliance.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to define, execute, and track detailed project plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex issues in an innovative and effective manner.
- Strong analytical skills, with a capacity to interpret data, assess policy impacts, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously.
