Electrical Tools and Systems Manager
Position Overview :
The Electrical Tools and Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the tools, systems, and processes that support the Electrical Design department, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in power distribution design. This role leads a team of CAD Technicians and engineering support staff while driving improvements in engineering workflows, software, and technical resources.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of CAD Technicians and engineering support staff.
- Maintain, optimize, and implement engineering tools, including CAD software, PLM systems, technical databases, and project tracking systems.
- Develop and execute tool-related initiatives, such as software updates, automation solutions, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering managers to align technical support with project needs and address challenges proactively.
- Create and maintain documentation, including work instructions, training materials, and best practices for engineering tools and systems.
- Provide training to engineering staff on new tools, updates, and best practices to improve productivity.
- Act as a liaison between engineering, IT, and software vendors to ensure tools function effectively and meet system requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of CAD designs, schematics, and other engineering deliverables.
