Job Description
We are an innovative esports startup looking for a QA Architect (Mobile & Web) to join our dynamic team and ensure the highest quality of our social platform connecting gamers globally. In this role, you will be pivotal in establishing and maintaining a seamless user experience by driving Mobile and Web quality assurance processes, developing comprehensive test plans, and working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues swiftly.
Key Responsibilities:
- The QA Architect drives the test automation strategy for Mobile and Web. The architect sets the technical direction for the QA work and leads the test automation team. The QA Architect works closely with development and the test team to meet the quality objectives of the client organization.
- Test Planning & Strategy: Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans and strategies for both manual and automated testing, covering new features, bug fixes, and performance enhancements.
- Automation Testing: Build and maintain automated test suites using industry-standard frameworks. Collaborate with the development team to ensure critical features are covered by automated tests.
- Functional & Regression Testing: Conduct end-to-end functional, regression, and smoke testing to ensure high-quality releases. Identify, document, and track bugs throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Performance & Load Testing: Execute performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks and potential issues under high user traffic, particularly during live events and peak usage times.
- Cross-Platform Testing: Perform testing across multiple platforms, including web and mobile, to ensure a consistent user experience for gamers.
- Lead and Define: Implement direction on automation techniques and adhere to standards.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements, provide feedback on potential risks, and ensure seamless product releases.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest QA methodologies, tools, and best practices. Continuously refine and improve the QA process to ensure efficient, high-quality releases.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong background in manual and automated testing.
- 3 years of experience as a QA Architect.
- Expert in Python/Pytest and mobile automation frameworks (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, etc.)
- Familiarity with Node.js and other scripting languages like JavaScript.
- Understanding of continuous integration and delivery pipelines and ability to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD process (Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.)
- Knowledge of bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
- Proficient in writing and executing detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Experience testing web and mobile applications, with a focus on cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
- Ability to lead and mentor QA engineers, effectively communicate testing status and issues to stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic startup environment and adapt to rapid changes.
