What’s this role about?


We are looking for an experienced National Accounts Manager to lead and expand our Demand Response sales initiatives. This role is crucial for building strong relationships with key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth in the demand response sector. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of energy markets, demand response programs, and a proven sales management track record.


In this position, you will market GridBeyond’s comprehensive solutions, including Battery, Optimization, Forecasting, and Market Participation, to national accounts. You will manage key client relationships and develop strategic initiatives tailored to their unique needs. Utilizing your extensive network and industry expertise, you will attract new clients, identify market opportunities, and spearhead growth initiatives. Your duties will include formulating sales forecasts and projecting revenue in line with our strategic objectives.


This role requires a confident and proactive individual who excels in engaging with senior leadership and decision-makers. You should be assertive in pursuing business, dedicated to meeting customer needs, and capable of collaborating effectively with a team of sales professionals in a dynamic environment. A proven ability to navigate complex sales processes is essential for consulting with national accounts and crafting tailored proposals that meet their specific energy management requirements.


What will I be doing?


  • Leading the development and execution of a comprehensive account management strategy to foster relationships with major national accounts and promote our Demand Response programs.
  • Actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to achieve sales objectives within the national accounts segment.
  • Engaging with high-level clients, participating in industry events, and building strategic partnerships to enhance brand presence and create new business opportunities.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to advance the development of tailored solutions that address client needs.
  • Identifying opportunities for cross-selling and synergies that align with client and industry demands.
  • Utilizing Salesforce CRM to manage client interactions and track sales progress effectively.
  • Providing market forecasts and insights to support the company’s growth strategy across the U.S. market.
  • Advocating for the company’s brand within the U.S. energy markets to increase customer awareness and market share against competitors.
  • Serving as an experienced territory manager skilled in formulating and implementing growth strategies for national accounts.

What do I need to be a good technical fit for this role?


  • A strong background in sales and business development, with the ability to create and implement strategies that develop long-term relationships with national accounts.
  • Proficient in managing and forecasting sales cycles and outcomes effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to a diverse audience, including operations managers, engineers, facility managers, and C-suite executives.
  • Skilled in influencing and negotiating through complex sales processes that involve multiple stakeholders.
  • Highly respected within the industry, possessing a deep understanding of best practices and market trends.
  • A strategic thinker focused on operational execution and achieving measurable results.
  • Exceptional customer management skills, complemented by strong listening and interpersonal abilities.
  • A professional, articulate, and innovative individual who is client-focused and committed to advancing energy solutions for clients.
  • A highly motivated individual with a passion for green energy and technology.
  • A collaborative team player who can work effectively both independently and as part of a project team.
  • Existing relationships or contacts with U.S.-based industrial and commercial consumers are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Trained in at least one recognized sales methodology (e.g., SPIN, TAS, Miller-Heiman) to drive sales effectiveness.
