Currently we are seeking a Clinical Nursing Research Coordinator for our Medical Oncology office located at ECMC! This is a full-time position scheduled M-F from 8-4pm and includes Free Parking!

As the CNRC, your primary responsibility will be to coordinate research efforts while providing patient care in our medical oncology clinic. You will work closely with Principal Investigators, the Clinical Research Facilitator, and the Director of Oncology Research to ensure the successful execution of clinical trials and research initiatives. Your nursing duties will be tailored to study requirements while meeting the needs of our outpatient clinic.

Essential Functions :

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge medical research while delivering compassionate patient care. As a Clinical Research Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in advancing our understanding and treatment of cancer. As the Clinical Research Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following essential functions :

Provide patient care in adherence to the study protocol and good clinical research principles, which may involve data or sample collection.

Assist with the clinical obligations of studies, including accessing ports, conducting blood draws, monitoring infusions, and recording vital signs.

Utilize hospital EMR and external databases to update, maintain, and store all necessary documents related to research activities.

Coordinate screening for enrollment, maintain resource documentation, and manage clinical trial calendars.

Manage interactions with representatives from sponsors, internal research personnel, and clinic staff to ensure smooth research operations.

Ensure that all procedures and services are conducted in compliance with the study regulations and standard of care.

Promptly report essential information to necessary staff, such as potential participants, upcoming visits, and adverse events.

Prepare specimens and coordinate the handling, packaging, and shipping of hazardous materials as required by the study protocols.

Qualifications :

Education : RN NYS state license from accredited facility, required

Experience : 1 year experience in phlebotomy and intravenous access, required

1-3 years’ experience in clinical research, preferred

Specialized Knowledge : Nursing

Special Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to utilize various computer programs

The pay range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant at the time of posting. When determining pay, several factors will be considered including but not limited to location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, professional credentials, internal equity, and budget.
