Gas Leak Survey Technician
GridHawk LLC, The Premier Provider for Utility Services is seeking to fill the position for our Leak Survey Department. The leak survey technician will focus primarily on identifying Gas Leaks within their given area of work, assessing the pipeline in order to record and identify the origin of damage and leaks for the client. The Leak survey technician will utilize many procedures and tools in order to detect and evaluate new and ongoing leaks. They will work under the supervision of the Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator will identify workloads, identify continued developmental needs, and assist with the execution of all work related tasks. The Leak survey technician will predominantly be in the field, visiting various locations within a day’s work. They will utilize routing practices and should be well organized.
***In order to obtain employment with GridHawk LLC, candidates MUST complete a background check. Company policy requires no violations within the last 5 years. Candidates MUST also take and pass a DOT drug test.***
All employees of GridHawk LLC, are assigned proper technology and work vehicles in order to perform all work related duties.

Description:
- Accurately detect and classify gas leaks while inspecting designated areas
- Locate and accurately assess the origin of damage and gas leaks
- Record and process effective data
- Paperwork, notifications, etc.
- Utilize tools in order to effectively complete job tasks
- Use of prints, maps, and past records
- Utilize locating tools, technology, and equipment
- Effective communication with Project Management
- Daily check ins
- Completed reports
- Target completion
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate (Required)
- Valid driver’s license (Required)
- No more than 3 moving violations within a rolling 5 year period (Required)
- Satisfactory background screening (Required)
- Negative DOT pre-employment drug screen (Required)
Essential skills:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work smoothly with citizens, company, contractor representatives, and customers
- Knowledge and understanding of safe worksite practices
- Working within and utilizing existing utility standard designs
- The use and basic maintenance of industry standard locating equipment
- Experience using basic communication and tech devices
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of moving about on construction work sites, public streets and parkways
- Capable of lifting up to 50/75lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel or sit for extended periods
- Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various measurement, locating and testing instruments
Work Environment:
- Work safely outside in all weather conditions year-round
- Occasionally work in excavations areas and roadways
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration
- The noise level in the work environment is occasionally moderate to loud
