Application Tester
Location : Arlington, VA (3 days per week onsite)
Job Description :
The Application Tester will be responsible for testing software applications to ensure they meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in QA and be able to create and execute test scripts. The Application Tester will work closely with developers to identify and resolve issues and will be responsible for documenting and reporting any defects found during testing.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
- Conduct manual and automated tests to identify defects, regressions, and inconsistencies in software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in the design and implementation of test automation frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
- Document and report software defects using issue tracking systems and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects and assess overall product quality from an end-user perspective.
- Conduct compatibility testing across different devices, browsers, and operating systems to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Monitor and analyze test results, trends, and metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for enhancing software quality, usability, and performance throughout the development lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in software testing methodologies.
- Experience with 508 compliance testing in knowledge management tools; DoD experience preferred but not required.
- Worked in an Agile development team; familiarity with Agile best practices, comfortable leading requirements gathering sessions, and helping the development team create user stories.

Compensation and Benefits Salary Range :
40 to 50 / hr (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
