Job Description
- Bring in-depth understanding and expertise to support a senior defense client in the strategy development, implementation planning, and acquisition, transition, and resource-related modernization and integration assessments for Nuclear Command and Control (NC3) systems and capabilities. Provide expert technical, acquisition, and program support for interoperability and cooperative development in the NC3 capability portfolio.
- Lead and innovate decision analysis for addressing complex DoD acquisition and investment problems, providing recommendations, executing plans to optimize portfolio investments, and reducing enterprise risk.
- Evaluate existing NC3 systems to identify operational deficiencies and network performance improvements.
- Engage in variety of internal and external technical working groups and governance bodies.
Qualifications
- 7 years relevant experience consisting of the following:
- 4 years progressive responsibility for acquisition and program management of NC3 capabilities in a DoD Program Office, Program Executive Officer’s office, or DoD Acquisition Command
- Experience with operational planning, force development, and deployment for NC3 mission sets
- Experience as a self-starter, effectively executing the action and staff officer role on OSD, Joint Staff, or Service/Agency-level headquarter staff including developing strategies, decision briefs, and information papers and analyzing policy documents for the DoD
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate client and stakeholder requirements, perform proactively while paying strict attention to detail, and work with minimum oversight
- Knowledge of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with implementing, modernizing, and transitioning NC3 technologies
- Experience with Program Management or Capability Portfolio Management
- Experience with working as part of a cross-functional delivery team, integrating and incorporating detailed technical data from multiple team members into executive-level decision-making products, and communicating the findings, insights, and recommendations to senior-level clients effectively
- Expertise in writing and synthesizing data from multiple sources into comprehensive technical documents that are easy to comprehend
- Expertise undertaking analytical activities for US government acquisition programs, including stakeholder requirements definition, requirements analysis, test and evaluation, trade studies, or architecture design per US government processes
- Ability to work independently, creatively, and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Knowledge of the technology and implementation approaches for enterprise architectures, cloud computing, common operating pictures
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI Clearance is required.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $100,000 - $170,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
