What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alternative Education Teacher, 1.0 FTE position at Gridley Unified School District?
Brief Description of Essential Duties
Under the supervision of the site administrator, provides an educational program for students at the secondary school level for alternative education, encompassing basic skills and motivating students to develop the skills, attitude, and knowledge needed for a good educational foundation and prepares students as follows :
- Uses information about individual students' academic strengths, needs, and progress in planning
- Provide academic service to engage student in work aligned to the California Common Core Standards
- Uses resources that will promote high levels of learning and student engagement
- Follows established policies and procedures for reporting incidents (e.g., child abuse, bullying, harassment, and violence)
Minimum Qualifications :
1.Bachelor's Degree plus appropriate coursework to qualify for teaching credential
2.Appropriate CA credential authorizing the teaching of students in an alternative education setting or equivalent with EL authorization
3.Experience in alternative education setting preferred
