You will be engineer #3 on the team, meaning you will have a LOT of responsibility and the chance to build things end-to-end from scratch.
We’re looking for engineers who want to own the full stack—backend, frontend, infrastructure, and everything in between.
Our stack: Python (FastAPI) on the backend, TypeScript for our web app & PowerPoint add-in.
Serious equity & long-term upside—we want people who are in this for the long haul.

Gridlines is an early-stage, venture-backed startup building AI-powered tools to transform how financial analysts work. Our platform is designed to save analysts hours of manual work, automating PowerPoint creation and making financial presentations seamless.
We are at a pivotal moment, gaining traction with top investment banks and private equity firms. You’ll work directly with the founder to push this product to the next level.
What You’ll Do
Full-Stack Development
Build and own features across both backend and frontend.
Design and implement high-performance APIs to support our AI-powered tools.
Work on responsive, intuitive interfaces that integrate AI-driven insights.
Backend Engineering
Architect scalable, high-performance backend systems.
Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment automation.
Optimize our database and data management processes for efficiency.
Frontend Engineering
Develop interactive web applications using TypeScript.
Build and optimize our PowerPoint add-in to streamline analyst workflows.
Work closely with designers to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
Infrastructure & DevOps
Deploy and manage services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of our infrastructure.
Collaboration & Ownership
Work directly with the founder on product direction.
Take full ownership of your projects and drive them to completion.
Help define the company culture and engineering best practices.

Who You Are
- 3 years of experience as a software engineer, ideally in a fast-paced startup or high-impact role.
- You want to go all in on a startup—this isn’t just a job for you.
- Proficiency in Python (FastAPI), TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Experience with databases (SQL & NoSQL) and API development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.
- A passion for building high-performance, user-friendly products.
