Gridmatic is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as Vice President of Retail Operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers, deep knowledge of regulatory compliance within ERCOT and PJM markets, and a strong track record in strategic planning and execution. This role demands strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational improvements.
\n- Define the customer experience and internal workflow for all C&I customers; lead the Operations team to cover the functional areas of enrollment, adds/drops, billing, commissions, and customer service.
- Oversee and support complex billing processes for large and flexible load customers.
- Maintain oversight of commissions plans and provide support as needed.
- Lead regulatory initiatives, including staying informed on PUC/FERC developments, preparing filings, and submitting annual reports.
- Develop and formulate strategies to address current and future customer needs and market demands.
- Draft and review customer agreements, legal documents, and ad hoc contracts as required to support business operations.
- Collaborate closely with Supply, Sales, and Accounting to achieve company objectives.
- Proven experience working with Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers with at least 10 years of experience in the retail electricity markets.
- Extensive experience in ERCOT and PJM markets.
- In-depth knowledge of energy industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize in high-pressure, multi-tasking environments.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a dynamic start-up environment.
- Skilled at assessing and recommending improvements to streamline operational processes.
