Gridor Constr., Inc. has been in the business of constructing and repairing water and wastewater treatment facilities for over 50 years. We successfully perform and are involved in projects requiring: deep excavation, dewatering, sheeting, caisson construction, bypass pumping, site utilities, jacking/boring, heavy concrete work, precast erection, process equipment and process piping installation.
** Newly college graduates encouraged to apply! We are open to having someone work in the field for a six-month period to familiarize themselves with our line of work. They would then move into the office to start estimating and shadowing project management of water / wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, etc.**
As a Wastewater and Water Construction Project Manager & Estimator, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of wastewater management and infrastructure projects. You will oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, from budgeting to scheduling, resource allocation, quality control, and client communication. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and oversee wastewater and water construction projects, ensuring completion within budget and timeline.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources, adjusting as necessary to ensure project success.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Review and approve contracts, change orders, and project documentation.
- Perform regular site visits to ensure work is progressing according to plan and quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and providing regular project updates.
- Manage risk by identifying potential issues and implementing solutions.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment for projects.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or another related field preferred.
· Two-Year Technical Degree in related field or more than 3 years relevant trade experience performing in a leadership role on commercial construction projects accepted.
- Proven experience managing large, complex wastewater or water projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and project execution.
- In-depth knowledge of wastewater and water treatment processes, systems, and regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft, Bluebeam, MS Project, Primavera, Estimating Software).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is preferred.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certifications are a plus.
- Travel to be expected, mainly day trips with some light overnight trips as well.
