What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Human Resources position at GridSource?
The Director, Human Resources is responsible for partnering with business leaders to address the needs of the business and their teams and to lead the HR team. This includes the administration and execution of human resource programs including but not limited to performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development. This role will also manage the HR team and execute the HR strategy.
Position Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to understand their goals and provide strategic HR support.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives.
- Provide guidance on talent management.
- Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to drive business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management and employee development.
- Manage and maintain Learning and Development programs, assisting with facilitation and administration as needed.
- Create, update and apply all HR policies and company guidelines and making sure they adhere to standards and laws initiated by authorities.
- Create employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating activities.
- Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Implement process improvements within the HR team.
- Manage the HR team providing guidance and assisting with process management.
- Perform other duties as directed or requested.
Essential Skills and Experience
- 10 years’ experience in an HR generalist role.
- 3 years in a leadership role which includes managing people.
- Knowledge of labor laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage a team.
- Experience with leading change management initiatives.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and Microsoft suite.
