Job Opportunity: Underground Foreman at GridSource
Location: Arlington, WA
Positions Available: Two (2) Full-Time
Position Overview:
GridSource has an immediate need for two (2) Underground Foremen who will oversee the overall direction, administration, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects. You will manage project scope, budget, and schedule while maintaining satisfactory relationships with construction coordinators, subcontractors, and vendors.
What You’ll Need:
- Ability to work safely and perform within OSHA standards
- Ability to read prints and direct crew activities
- Broad working knowledge of trades, associated special processes, inspection, and testing techniques
- Self-starter with strong organizational, managerial, and leadership skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to access all points of a construction site in various climates and environments
- Willingness to relocate to project locations as required
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage crews of 2-4 personnel engaged in underground construction
- Delegate tasks and provide feedback on material handling and construction tasks
- Ensure the safe operation of equipment (Dozer, Excavator, Backhoe, Jack Hammers, etc.)
- Access underground vaults and pedestals and complete trenches
- Set up safety zones and ensure safety compliance at work sites
- Oversee placement of small cable runs, hand holes, tie-ins, and manholes
- Perform daily equipment and vehicle maintenance
- Ensure work sites are cleaned up and restored after work is completed
- Other responsibilities as assigned
