As a Service Inspector you will be responsible for inspecting and repairing all of the vehicles that are acquired by HGreg. This will include troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximum reliability and functionality.

REPORTS TO
Inspector Supervisor
Essential Duties
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.) aiming to increase vehicle functionality and longevity
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
- Maintain logs on completed work and issues
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
- Keep work area clean and in good working order
- Any and all other items not here listed but requested by the Inspector Supervisor
- 8-hour shift including weekends
- 2 days off/week
- Proven experience as auto mechanic
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment (e.g. car lift)
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred
