Automotive Metal Fabricator – Custom & Restoration Builds
Griffin Automotive Design is a premier builder of high-end classic cars, muscle cars, street rods, and race cars, specializing in one-of-a-kind custom builds and world-class restorations. With over 20 years of experience, we have expanded into a state-of-the-art facility, producing some of the most exclusive vehicles in the industry.
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Metal Fabricator to join our elite team. This role is for someone who is passionate about handcrafting metal, shaping perfection, and building vehicles that stand among the best in the world.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in automotive metal fabrication or custom vehicle restoration
- Proficiency in TIG welding (steel, stainless steel, and aluminum)
- Ability to fabricate and fit custom sheet metal panels, body modifications, chassis components, and roll cages
- Own a full set of hand tools
- Experience with metal shaping tools (English wheel, bead roller, planishing hammers, brakes, shears, etc.) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to achieve flawless panel gaps and precision fabrication
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and passionate about creating one-of-a-kind vehicles
Key Responsibilities:
- Custom fabrication of body panels, floors, firewalls, chassis components, and other metalwork
- Handcraft and modify sheet metal to achieve exact fitment and high-end finishes
- Tear down and reassemble classic and custom vehicles with precision
- Assess and document vehicle needs, clearly communicating with the project team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
- Collaborate with a team of skilled craftsmen to bring award-worthy builds to life
