Position Summary
Support broker-dealers and registered investment advisors in their evaluation of the firm’s current and historical offerings. The Due Diligence Analyst will play a key role in responding to due diligence requests, maintaining industry intelligence, and ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of offering and investor materials. The position requires frequent cross-functional collaboration and a thorough understanding of our Funds and investment strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to due diligence questionnaires and other inquiries from broker-dealers and RIAs performing due diligence on the firm’s offerings.
- Prepare timely and accurate responses to due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) and other information requests.
- Assist with the development, review, and ongoing refinement of offering memoranda, investor reports, presentations, and educational materials.
- Conduct periodic research on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to inform internal stakeholders and support external communications.
- Collaborate with teams across acquisitions, asset management, portfolio management, legal, compliance, accounting, marketing, and sales to gather information and insights.
- Support compliance and regulatory requirements by maintaining accurate records and assisting with reporting and tracking duties.
- Build and maintain a strong understanding of the firm’s investment products, structures, strategies, and historical performance.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and internal initiatives related to due diligence, investor relations, and process improvement.
Qualifications
- Relevant Work Experience - 0-2 years’ experience in Investment, Investor Relations, Operational Due Diligence or related function within investment management or financial services. Strong understanding of real estate private equity, investment structures, and capital markets preferred.
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, Economics or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications and Licensing – Although not required, CFA, CAIA or similar designation is preferred.
- Computer Skills - Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office, most importantly Excel and PowerPoint.
Benefits and Salary
Griffin Capital’s salary ranges are determined by role, duration of direct experience, and internal and external pay equity considerations.
- The base starting salary range for this exempt full-time position is $65,000-$85,000 bonus eligibility benefits.*
