With Intelligence are recruiting an experienced Legal Counsel to join our London team. Reporting into the General Counsel, this is a key role, supporting our global organisation on legal, compliance and regulatory issues.With Intelligence are a leading provider of business intelligence, data and insights on the global asset management industry. We provide high-value, specialist business information to niche target audiences in the alternative and traditional fund management industries and employ over 600 staff globally with our head office based in London.Responsibilities Review and negotiation of client and supply-side contractsReview and negotiation of vendor contractsProvide day to day advice across the business on legal, compliance and regulatory issues as they arise, including in relation to data protection, technology and IP law and ethical and compliance matters (e.g. anti-bribery and export sanctions) and employmentSupport the General Counsel in developing the compliance functionAssist the General Counsel in provision of legal support and guidance for the business on any acquisitions and disposals, working in collaboration with external counselAssist the General Counsel in managing and updating One Trust (our external privacy compliance platform)Support the General Counsel in running and actioning output from our privacy and risk steering groupsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the group, particularly our sales team, finance and HRQualifications PQE with strong technical legal skills, particularly in relation to data protection (IAPP qualification preferred)Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts (both client and supply side), ideally with a focus on technology licence and service contracts. Exposure to negotiating client agreements subject to New York law would be advantageousHigh degree of autonomy in negotiation of deals and commercial contracting without supervisionStrong drafting and negotiating skillsExcellent communicator. You can advise stakeholders confidently and succinctly and you enjoy developing good working relationshipsExperience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is highly beneficialAbility to work autonomously and collaboratively as neededYou have methodical, thorough and detail-oriented approach to your workYou are a self-starter and know how to get things done.
