We are seeking an experienced API Strategy Consultant to help assess and shape the future of our clients' API and integration landscape. If you have expertise in Microsoft Azure API Management (APIM) and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and you're passionate about developing strategic roadmaps to optimize API architectures, we’d love to have you join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess clients' current API and integration ecosystems, identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
• Define the “to-be” architecture for the client’s API and integration strategy, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and performance.
• Develop a strategic roadmap for growing Microsoft Azure API Management (APIM) as a platform, aligning it with client objectives.
• Drive the seamless integration of Microsoft Azure APIM with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), ensuring robust data flow and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement API governance frameworks, security protocols, and best practices for API lifecycle management.
• Provide expert guidance on API design, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and other modern API protocols (GraphQL, gRPC, etc.).
• Develop a comprehensive API strategy that includes API lifecycle management, governance, and API-led integration best practices.
• Work with stakeholders to align API strategy with business goals and digital transformation objectives.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to empower clients with the knowledge to manage and scale their API ecosystems.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in API management, cloud technologies, and integration platforms.

Required Qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in API strategy, consulting, or related fields, with a focus on enterprise-grade API management and integrations.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure API Management (APIM) and its capabilities for managing APIs at scale.
• Solid understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including its integration capabilities and API management features.
• Experience in defining and implementing API architectures, from design to deployment.
• Proven track record of developing and executing strategic roadmaps for API management and integration initiatives.
• Familiarity with modern integration patterns and technologies (e.g., REST, GraphQL, microservices, and event-driven architecture).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for business audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, business units, and third-party vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure API Management).
• Experience with SAP BTP or similar enterprise platforms (SAP Cloud Integration, SAP CPI).
• Previous experience leading large-scale digital transformation projects in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices.
