What are the responsibilities and job description for the GI Technician position at Griffin Health Brand?
MAIN FUNCTION: Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, routine care and maintenance of endoscopic instruments according to manufacturer recommendations and facility standards. Provides all aspects of multi-skilled technician duties for the department, provides clerical and routine clinical functions for the department. Care given reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. Meets the communication needs of the patient, family and staff. Utilizes initiative, strives to maintain a steady level of productivity. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards.
EDUCATION: High school graduate plus additional training courses in patient care/asepsis required. CPD certification required.
EXPERIENCE: Experience preferred.
