What are the responsibilities and job description for the Griffin Faculty Physicians Systems Analyst - Full Time position at Griffin Health Brand?
MAIN FUNCTION: Responsible for the training and maintenance of all system applications used throughout the practice and the relationship with vendors.
- Assist and serve as point of contact for assigned Athena implementation team and other system related integrations.
- Assign staff members appropriate training within Athena Learning Portal and work with practice managers to ensure compliance.
- Provide Support and assistance with new office implementations as assigned.
- Assist with provider and staff training, schedule templates, workflows, design of exam templates, creation of order sets, quick picks and encounter plans.
- Establish & document best practices in workflows and roll out to offices and monitor compliance.
- Responsible for the Admin bucket, buckets that are not configured, identifying duplicate patient records & merging and any system maintenance assigned.
- Schedule and conduct office EMR assessments and work with managers to implement and monitor recommendations.
- Provide Athena EMR training to new providers and staff members
- Serve as back up for GFP Orientation develop curriculum and coordinate schedule.
- Manage all Athena access requests and requirement paperwork for GFP, GH and Medical Students, assign appropriate access.
- Handle System login issues and work closely with hospital’s IT to support end users
- Conduct periodic training for all providers and staff on use of EHR and other platforms/software etc. to ensure compliance with standard procedures.
- Conduct training as needed when new features and updates are made to the system.
- Identify & Assist practices as needed to take advantage of new Athena capabilities.
- Attend Athena training events, including web-based and live events for all integrated systems.
- Work with administration to maintain appropriate user permissions and assignment of roles within integrated systems.
- Track updates to the systems and notify end users of changes likely to impact work.
- Work with practice managers to implement standard operating policies, including patient registration, intake, and document management as assigned my manager.
- Assist practice staff in troubleshooting within Athena/Systems and serve as a point of contact with the vendors.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate required and Associates degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using an electronic health record system and other integrated systems. Experience with Athena preferred.
- Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
- Experience with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and dashboard reporting a plus.
- Relevant experience, including at least one year in an outpatient medical practice is a plus.
