Main Function
Under the supervision of a Radiologist, the Lead Radiological Technologist performs a variety of technical and professional procedures in the application of prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis and therapy. This position also includes supervisory responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with regulatory standards.

Under the supervision of a Radiologist, the Lead Radiological Technologist performs a variety of technical and professional procedures in the application of prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis and therapy. This position also includes supervisory responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
- Ensure quality control and optimal patient care
- Supervise, mentor, and schedule staff technologists
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support clinical excellence
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Connecticut State License required
- Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience in a radiology setting
- Strong technical skills and leadership abilities
