A Local Sales Manager at Griffin Radio helps drive the Ideal Team Player culture.
Job Summary: As a Local Sales Manager you will collaborate with the Sales Leadership Team to strategize and execute revenue-driving initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with Vice President of Sales to coordinate and lead the local sales team to meet and exceed revenue budgets through customer-focused selling.
- Coordinate and lead the local sales team to achieve and surpass revenue goals by fostering a customer-centric sales approach.
- Develop and execute appropriate customer-focused revenue programs.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while nurturing key accounts.
- Assist in the development of strategies to ensure excellence in customer service.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Know the strengths and weaknesses of the competing stations, other advertising mediums, and position the station accordingly.
- Conduct sales meetings.
- Generate revenue from well-organized and executed developmental initiatives.
- Plan budgets and execute sales strategies.
- Work with Director of Sales on pricing strategy regarding advertising avails processes.
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop Account Executives and Multi-Media Sales Coordinators.
- Oversee accounts receivable and credit policies.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including driving an automobile for company business.
Job Schedule: This is a full-time position primarily working 40 hours per week. You may also be called upon at times to fill in other hours and days of the week to help cover vacations, illnesses, or special projects/events. This position may be eligible to work remotely on occasion and at the discretion of the supervisor.

Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 3-5 years radio broadcast sales and/or sales management experience required.
- Experience with both agency and direct/retail clients.
- Experience in inventory and revenue management, ratings, marketing, promotions, collections, NTR and Digital Media.
- Familiarity with software including Wide Orbit suite of products, Nielsen, Ad Intel, ShareBuilders, and ShareBuilders CRM is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and lead with vision, values, and trust.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and selling skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in computers with the ability to learn new systems.
- Ability to be flexible, handle stress, meet deadlines and achieve financial responsibilities.
- Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and have a driving record acceptable to the company.
- Ability to perform other job-related duties as assigned,
