A Campus Correspondent Intern at News 9 helps drive the Ideal Team Player culture.
Job Summary: This is an advanced internship to gain on-air experience. News 9s Campus Correspondent will pitch, shoot, write, edit, and present a weekly news story impacting Oklahomans aged 18-25 for News 9s 9am newscast.
Job Responsibilities:
- Applicants should be junior or senior-level journalism students and possess strong writing skills, knowledge of shooting with a video camera and editing.
- Applicants must understand basic lighting principles and adhere to professional and ethical news judgment.
- If chosen as a Campus Correspondent, students must dress in business formal attire while appearing on-air and act professionally in public, including social media.
- A Campus Correspondent will be required to attend at least two virtual editorial meeting per week, as well as attend a weekly meeting or video conference with a newsroom mentor and/or the internship coordinator.
- Students are preferred, but not required, to use equipment provided by their college or university.
Job Schedule: This is an unpaid internship for college credit. We are flexible on schedule, but you must meet your hours required for credits. Availability for internship up to 16 hours per week; including presenting one story per week on the 9am newscast.

Skills and Requirements:
- GPA of 2.75 or above
- Intern must have completed 60 credit hours toward their degree. Copy of official transcript must be uploaded with application.
- Intern candidates must be self-motivated and work well with others.
- Professional dress is expected at all times.
- Availability for internship up to 16 hours per week.
