Position Overview:
As an IT Support Technician at Griffin Technology Services, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, handling a range of technical issues related to hardware, software, and networking. You will work closely with our team of IT professionals to ensure our clients' IT environments are running smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a blend of technical know-how, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote assistance tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office, and other commonly used software applications.
- Assist with hardware support, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting, including resolving connectivity issues and managing network devices.
- Support and manage Active Directory user accounts, permissions, and groups.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to escalate and resolve more complex issues.
- Document and track support tickets using our internal ticketing system.
- Provide proactive IT support and maintenance to prevent future issues.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably within an MSP environment.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Active Directory and basic user management.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Customer-focused attitude with a strong desire to provide outstanding service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
