Title : Health, Safety & Environmental Manager
Location : Custom Culinary Oswego, IL
Reports to : Plant Manager
Purpose of the Position :
The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, overseeing and continuously improving all aspects of the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental programs. This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, fostering a culture of safety, and minimizing the environmental impact of company operations. The HSE Manager will work closely with all departments to promote a safe and sustainable workplace.
Major Duties & Responsibilities :
Develop and Implement HSE Programs
- Design and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs that comply with local, state, and federal regulations, in coordination with Global and Regional Health, Safety and Environmental Management leaders.
- Create and update safety policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Establish goals and objectives for HSE performance and track progress against these goals.
- Position is challenged to define, source and implement effective procedures, methods and plans to reduce plant accident / incident rating.
Regulatory Compliance
Monitor changes in HSE regulations and ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws and standards, in coordination with Global and Regional Health, Safety and Environmental Management leaders.

Training and Development
Environmental Stewardship
Promote sustainable practices within the company, including waste reduction, resource conservation, and pollution prevention.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk to communicate and listen effectively. This will require both office and plant floor environments.
Environmental Concerns
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to cold temperatures in a refrigerated cooler or freezer, and also wet environments in wash down areas.
