Our team is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and contribute to the efficiency of our operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Process and track client settlements, distributions, and retainers, ensuring compliance with trust accounting regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of firm expenses, billing, and timekeeping.
- Assist with preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Process payroll for firm employees.
- Reconcile ledgers and ensure accurate reporting of client and firm financials.
- Coordinate with external accountants for tax filing and audits.
- Manage and track trust account balances, ensuring proper compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Communicate with clients regarding billing questions or concerns.
- Perform other administrative and financial duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably with a personal injury law firm or legal industry background.
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Familiarity with trust accounting principles and procedures, particularly in relation to personal injury settlements.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
