Job Title: Figure Model for Drawing, Painting, and Figurative Art Courses

Job Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional figure model to pose for our drawing, painting, and figurative art courses. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with both clothed and nude modeling and able to hold a variety of poses ranging from 30 seconds to 45 minutes. This is a great opportunity for individuals with an interest in art and an appreciation for the human form.
Responsibilities:
- Pose for Artists: Hold still, dynamic poses for a variety of durations, ranging from quick 30-second gesture poses to longer sustained poses lasting up to 45 minutes.
- Work with Art Instructors: Collaborate with instructors to meet the needs of students and create an inspiring, professional environment.
- Provide Variety in Poses: Assist in creating diverse, compelling poses that challenge and inspire students of all skill levels.
- Professionalism and Punctuality: Arrive on time and be prepared for each session. Display professionalism in demeanor and commitment to the course schedule.
- Comfort with Nude Modeling: As required, model in the nude for students working on figure drawing, with a focus on anatomical accuracy and aesthetic composition.
- Safety and Comfort: Ensure a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for both the model and the students.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a figure model is preferred but not required.
- Comfort and professionalism in both clothed and nude modeling.
- Ability to hold static poses for extended periods (up to 45 minutes).
- Strong focus, discipline, and an understanding of the importance of the human form in art.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction from instructors.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a classroom environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to hold various poses for long durations.
- Must be able to maintain focus and stillness for extended periods.
- Flexibility and a willingness to perform a variety of poses as needed by the class.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
Schedule:
20 hours per week, scheduled according to the class calendar. Specific days and times may vary.
