JOB DESCRIPTION
Griffon Aerospace, a leader in the exciting Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) industry, is seeking a talented Senior Accountant. This person would be responsible for Accounts Payable and other Senior Accounting Functions. The growing Madison, AL-based small business is seeking innovative individuals who want to join an up tempo, maker culture that proudly provides products and services to support the American Warfighter!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all aspects of accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate recording of vendor invoices and timely payments.
- Manage and lead accounts payable team
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and resolve disputes or discrepancies promptly.
- Work closely with Procurement, and Accounting Departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
- Assist management with senior level accounting functions
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Proven accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a deadline intensive environment
- Experience with Accounting Software (Infor Visual Software a plus)
