Summary :
The Associate Director, IT Infrastructure, manages teams who perform the design, development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of Grifols IT infrastructure platforms. This role provides technical guidance and leadership to project teams and staff in evaluating infrastructure suitability, capabilities, and options. Develops processes supporting the development, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of software and / or hardware platforms to ensure infrastructure performance and availability. Guides staff investigation of emerging methods and technologies to develop and propose new approaches and changes to IT infrastructure strategic and operational plans.
Primary responsibilities for role :
Relationship Management, Planning, and Strategic Alignment
- Establishes and manages strategic relationships with IT and business partners to ensure IT plans and development efforts are well aligned with business goals.
- Participates in the definition, development, and maintenance of IT strategic and operational plans that support Grifols’ mission, values, and business objectives.
- Builds and enables a team who establish effective and trusting working relationships with all of their business and IT partners.
- Continuously improves knowledge of business processes, industry trends, and IT systems to better communicate IT capabilities and support IT solutions and architecture development.
- Contributes to the development and management of the IT project portfolio.
- Engages regularly with IT leadership, peers, and other technical staff to effectively implement and integrate new technologies and applications on a local and a global level.
- Manages relationships with external service provider management supporting areas of responsibility; monitors contractor performance and takes corrective action as needed.
- Collaborates with peers to plan strategies for the evolution of the enterprise architecture, ensuring IT's ability to support future business needs.

Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field. May require documented training and certification in specific technologies or platforms.
Experience :
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Project or technical leadership experience required. Supervisory or management experience is preferred.
Equivalency :
Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and / or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example : If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
Pay Scale :
The estimated pay scale for the Associate Director, IT Infrastructure role based in Los Angeles California, is $155,000.00-$170,000.00 per year. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in the company bonus pool. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on education, experience, skillset, knowledge, where the role is performed, internal equity and market data. Occupational Demands :
Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States.
