Job Description:
The Medical Care Specialist will be responsible for conducting medical examinations and ensuring donor suitability at our plasma donation center. This role involves building rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction, ensuring donor and staff confidentiality, and providing education to donors regarding general health and potential hazards.
You will also be responsible for evaluating and managing donor injuries and adverse events, performing evaluations of any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability, and assisting in employee training.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Current CPR certification required
- Ability to communicate effectively with donors and staff, both verbally and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to make sound judgments
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
