Job Description
This role involves assessing donor suitability and ensuring their safety during the plasma donation process. You will utilize your skills as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse to build relationships with donors, provide education on health matters, and respond to donor injuries or adverse events.
The position offers a wide range of tasks, including performing physical examinations and establishing medical histories, building rapport with donors, ensuring donor and staff confidentiality, providing donor education, evaluating and managing donor injuries and adverse events, and assisting in employee training.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Licensed Vocation Nurse.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Works independently and within guidance of oral or written instructions.
- Performs a wide range of tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions.
