As a Center Medical Specialist, you will be responsible for performing physical examinations, establishing medical histories, and determining donor suitability. You will also build rapport with donors, ensure confidentiality, and provide education on general health and potential hazards. Additionally, you will evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events, and assist in employee training.
The ideal candidate will have current certification/licensure in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Registered Nurse. A current CPR certification is also required. The position requires frequent hand movement, ability to make precise coordinated movements, and light lifting of 15lbs. with a maximum lift of 50lbs. Hearing acuity and color perception are essential.
