About the Role
This Operational Excellence Specialist position will be based at our site in Clayton, NC, with a hybrid work schedule (Mon - Friday).
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead Continuous Process Improvement initiatives across our organization and Grifols network. The successful candidate will design, develop, execute, and monitor opportunities to improve operational processes, working closely with key stakeholders to drive process improvements that enhance costs, quality, production, and service.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and monitor opportunities to improve operational processes.
- Work with key stakeholders to drive process improvements that quantitatively and qualitatively improve costs, quality, production, and service.
- Collaborate with PMO and the Industrial Excellence Department on projects requiring Operational Excellence support.
- Assess challenges, metrics, effectiveness of operational processes for improvement in business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing effective processes, procedures, and solutions to meet business needs.
- Develop and implement solutions for complex processes, projects, and business requirements.
- Train and educate the organization on continuous improvement methodologies.
- Foster company-wide and inter-departmental processes that require collaboration and communication.
- Identify CI opportunities within the business unit.
- Manage Failure Mode and Effectiveness Analysis related to process flow in operations, cost reduction, and avoidance.
- Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs for project outcomes.
- Harmonize datasets from multiple sources to determine business and operational trends.
Requirements
- A 4-year college degree in business or manufacturing is required.
- Prior training and certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt in root cause investigations is also required.
Skills & Abilities
The ideal candidate must understand Lean Manufacturing principles and have knowledge of safety, quality, and manufacturing programs. They should also possess demonstrated understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to influence upward, across, and down without formal authority.
