What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Associate - Hardware position at GRIGG ENTERPRISES INC?
Our Associates provide an Amazing Customer Experience that meets customers' needs and encourages them to make Grigg’s/ACE Hardware their store of choice.
Hardware associates will assist in the receiving, stocking, and pricing of all merchandise in the Hardware department. They will maintain a clean and orderly department, all while assisting our customers with Amazing Customer Service.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist customers in a friendly manner with their questions to find the products they are looking for.
- Assist in creating a safe, professional work environment.
- Assist with unloading freight, stocking shelves, maintaining backstock, rotating stock, and cleaning shelves.
- Assist in setting signage for sales.
- Assist with regular store maintenance and cleaning of the sales floor, back rooms, and outdoor areas.
- Assist customers in multiple service areas, including paint, STIHL power tools, chain/rope/electrical wire cutting, hardware, fasteners, and taking screen orders.
- Help customers with special orders, entering the customer info for follow-up, and following through on sale.
- Participate in store meetings.
- Backup cashier.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
