What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sporting Goods Associate position at GRIGG ENTERPRISES INC?
Our Sporting Goods associates provide amazing customer service that meets customers' needs and encourages them to make Grigg’s/ACE Hardware their store of choice.
Sporting Goods associates will assist in the receiving, stocking, and pricing of all merchandise in the Sporting Goods department. They will maintain a clean and orderly department, all while assisting our customers with Amazing Customer Service.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist customers in a friendly manner with their questions to find the products they are looking for.
- Assist in creating a safe, professional work environment.
- Assist with unloading freight, stocking shelves, maintaining backstock, rotating stock, and cleaning shelves.
- Assist in setting signage for sales.
- Assist with regular store maintenance and cleaning of the sales floor, back rooms, and outdoor areas.
- Assist customers in multiple service areas, including camping, fishing gear, hunting, State Licenses, and firearms.
- Help customers with special orders, entering the customer info for follow-up, and following through on sale.
- Participate in store meetings.
- Backup cashier
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
