Job Summary
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a credentialed paraprofessional certified in behavior analysis. RBT’s assist in delivering behavior-analytic services and practice under the direction and close supervision of an RBT Supervisor and/or an RBT Requirements Coordinator, who are responsible for all work RBTs perform.
An RBT assists students with developing social skills, reducing behavior challenges, as well as data collection.
Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have completed high school-level education or equivalent
- Have Registered Behavior Certification
Reports to:
- Assigned Principal (District Evaluator)
- Assigned BCBA (Supervisor)
Work Context:
- Requires standing
- Requires walking
- Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people
- Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions and working outdoors
Terms of Employment:
- 182 days per school year; Salary based on District Scale for Teacher Assistants
Evaluation:
- Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
