SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Senior HR Manager will play a key leadership role in driving the success of Grillo’s strategic plan by developing and executing human resource strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of labor laws, employee relations, talent management, and organizational development within the manufacturing and food production sectors.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to drive business initiatives through effective HR practices.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and promote a positive work culture.


Talent Management:

  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop and implement talent development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Implement succession planning strategies to ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders.


Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective employee relations practices.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a timely and fair manner.
  • Develop protocols and trainings for line managers and coach management team on how to improve productivity and work satisfaction.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Oversee compensation planning, including salary structure, bonuses, and incentive programs.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices in line with industry standards.


Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage HR-related risk and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Implement health, safety, and wellness programs to ensure a safe working environment.


Organizational Development:

  • Lead organizational change initiatives and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Facilitate training and development programs to build leadership capabilities and enhance team performance.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and strategic planning.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3-5 years in an HR leadership role, ideally within the food production or manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record in talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and best practices within the food production sector.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication skills – both written and verbal. Comfortable at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong influence management and communication skills, ability to gain organizational buy-in.
  • Must be effective working in a volatile and complex environment and work with a sense of urgency that drives effective results.
  • Works well in a team environment and ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making.
  • Strong proficiency in computer use including Microsoft Suite applications and internal software applications.


Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, taste, or smell. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 - 25 pounds, and occasionally more than 50 pounds with assistance from co-workers and/or mechanic devices. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee will be handling items that may be very hot. The noise level is usually moderate. Must be available to work overtime, nights, weekends, and Holidays.
