Job Title: Electrical Designer 2 - Design and Installation Specialist
About the Role:
Grimmway Enterprises seeks an experienced Electrical Designer 2 to join our team. As an Electrical Designer 2, you will be responsible for designing and installing electrical systems and controls for our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems and controls for Grimmway Enterprises facilities.
- Collaborate with principal electrical designers, engineers, and project managers to develop project plans and specifications.
- Review and analyze equipment specifications and incorporate them into design drawings.
- Create Single Line and Three Line Diagrams, including sizing of electrical equipment, conduit, and cable.
- Create Motor Control Schematic diagrams.
- Develop Conduit / Cable Schedule Drawings, Electrical Detail Drawings, Electrical Equipment Location and Stub-up Plan Drawings, PLC Panel Layout Drawings, PLC I/O Schematic Drawings, Control System Architecture Drawings, As Built Drawings, Lighting Plans, and Grounding Plans.
- Estimate job man-hours, schedule accurately, and develop installation budgets using in-house estimating software.
- Track progress of jobs from schedule and cost standpoint using in-house software.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of electrical design experience.
- Good understanding of and ability to apply relevant codes and standards, including NFPA 70E, NEC, API, California General Order 95, and ISA standards.
- Ability to learn and apply in-house software programs related to project budgeting, scheduling, material procurement, and tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Auto Cad 2010 or higher.
- Ability to work in a high-noise area and move items up to 50 pounds.
