Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced District Manager (DM) to oversee and ensure the consistent application of policies, procedures, and operational standards across multiple dental practices within a designated territory. Prior Dental Experience Is Required. The DM will serve as a critical liaison between corporate headquarters and field practice teams, driving excellence in training, safety, and compliance. This role requires a leader who can inspire and mentor Office Managers, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership Presence: Be physically present in office locations 5 days per week, providing direct support to Office Managers and hands-on leadership. Attend a minimum of 3 morning huddles weekly.
- Operational Excellence: Audit and analyze revenue targets, operational processes, and expense controls across all assigned practices. Collaborate with Business Managers to ensure optimal staffing and expense management.
- Team Development: Train and guide Office Managers in all aspects of office management, including employee relations, policy adherence, and performance improvement. Lead problem-solving initiatives to address operational challenges.
- Metrics & Planning: Analyze production data to plan and implement training and operational strategies, ensuring teams meet and exceed established business goals.
- Compliance & Safety: Oversee or conduct month-end physical inventory, safety audits, and maintain high standards of housekeeping within practices.
- Special Projects: Manage additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of dental management experience in a fast-paced environment, or 5 years in a lead clinical dental role combined with 4 years of management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to coach and train multi-unit teams to achieve high performance.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Windows operating systems, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation required.
Working Conditions:
- The DM will work independently, with frequent travel required within the assigned territory. Field office visits will comprise the majority of the role.
