Position Summary
Reporting to the Community Relations and Development Director, The Mid-Level Gifts Officer (MGO) will execute and manage a multichannel engagement strategy to attract supporters and inspire actions that grow engagement in giving. They will seek to cultivate a community of givers by inviting them to help (GRIP) reach its fundraising objectives and mission. Through new donor engagement activities like peer-to-peer fundraising, Associate Board engagement, and monthly donor recognition, he or she will design and implement acquisition and retention strategies for hundreds of new grassroots supporters. They will also be responsible for cultivating existing supporters with the goal to develop a network of inspired givers.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Develops and oversees the implementation of an innovative peer to peer fundraising strategy.
Manages and cultivates new donors acquired through peer-to-peer fundraising
Develops segmented communications that includes strategic recognition and appreciation of
annual fund donors (Ambassador Program).
Works with the director to expand the monthly donor program.
Builds relationships with segmented groups of the annual fund via phone calls, personalized email communications, written contact, and events in order to deepen their partnership.
Develop a strategy for every donor in the portfolio that includes a storyboard and an action plan.
Create personalized impact reports for every donor within the portfolio that include photos, quotes,
stories and information pertaining to that particular donor.
Find creative ways to personally thank donors within the portfolio.
Work with Development Director to transition donors who reach a certain threshold to a Major Gifts portfolio.
Using donor profiles and behavioral metrics, research and analyze past giving patterns of donors in your caseload to develop a high-value mid-level donor portfolio of about 600 mid-level giving units with the capacity to increase their giving and engagement.
Network to identify new major donors.
Track progress toward the portfolio goals on a weekly basis and participate in a weekly team and
individual check-in.
Maintain up to date and accurate donor information within the donor database.
Qualifications and Professional Experience
Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of GRIP Outreach For Youth
College degree or equivalent work experience and 3-5 years of experience in donor relations / donor services or mid-level giving.
Proven track record of working in an external-facing role and knowledge of customer service practices
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Have a love of people and a passion for youth
Must have excellent networking abilities and time management skills
Exceptional interpersonal presentation, and persuasive skills both oral and written
Demonstrated ability to perform as an effective member of a team
Power Point, Excel, and Word proficiency
Committed, passionate, enthusiastic, and perseverant
Familiarity with and adherence to a Christian faith perspective
