Job Summary
We are seeking a certified Strength Coach to work with student-athletes for team training and offer private sessions for kids and adults. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs, with a strong focus on safety, performance, and individual progress. This role involves leading team workouts, creating personalized programs, and building relationships with clients to help them achieve their fitness goals. A certified personal trainer is required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strength and conditioning programs for student-athletes to improve strength, speed, agility, and endurance.
- Lead team training sessions, ensuring proper technique and safety while motivating athletes.
- Track and assess progress of athletes and make necessary adjustments to their programs.
- Collaborate with athletic trainers and coaches to create a holistic approach to athlete development.
- Create individualized training programs for kids, teens, and adults based on their specific fitness goals.
- Lead one-on-one and small group private training sessions, offering guidance and feedback on form, technique, and progression.
- Build strong relationships with clients, providing continuous support and motivation throughout their fitness journey.
- Educate clients on fitness, nutrition, recovery, and general wellness habits.
- Maintain a clean and safe training environment, ensuring equipment is in good working condition.
- Manage schedules for both team training and private sessions.
- Communicate regularly with clients, parents, and other staff to provide updates on progress and modifications.
Requirements
- Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through a nationally recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ISSA, or equivalent) is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in strength and conditioning, with experience working with both youth and adult clients.
- Ability to design and implement effective training programs for a wide range of ages and fitness levels.
- Knowledge of injury prevention and rehabilitation techniques.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and engage clients.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage training schedules and client progress.
- Passion for fitness and helping others achieve their performance and wellness goals.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
